The Bel Air XL makes multiple changes that result in a big difference in the feel of this knife. Not only is overall size scaled up, the steel thickness is increased from .09" to .125" for a more robust blade. The blade deploys smoothly on Kershaw's KVT ball-bearing pivot and is secured by their ambidextrous DuraLock. This model features a blade of CPM-3V tool steel in a working finish with protective clear Cerakote. The scales are 6016-T6 aluminum with an Olive Cerakote finish, and the reversible clip matches the blade finish.
