The Bel Air XL makes multiple changes that result in a big difference in the feel of this knife. Not only is overall size scaled up, the steel thickness is increased from .09" to .125" for a more robust blade. The blade deploys smoothly on Kershaw's KVT ball-bearing pivot and is secured by their ambidextrous DuraLock. This model is upgraded with a blade of CPM-M4 tool steel for excellent edge retention and toughness. The blade has a Black PVD finish and is paired with FDE anodized aluminum scales.
