Tim Ogg & Jessie Wipperman, Forged in Fire Champion

7Forge began in 2017 with a makeshift foundry—a steel bucket lined with concrete, powered by a "borrowed" hair dryer. After melting aluminum cans, Tim struck a glowing piece of rebar with a claw hammer, sparking a lifelong obsession with forging.
 
Built on a budget, their first tools were a pair of channel locks, a rusty 3-pound hammer gifted by Tim’s dad, and a punch that accidentally stamped the number 7 backward. Today, that backward 7 is their official maker's mark, a tribute to their blue-collar roots and the journey from a backyard hobby to Iowa’s largest semi-production knife company.
