The goal of Spartan Blades is to provide the modern warrior and outdoorsman with knives that'll serve in a variety of missions and environments. Spartan's intent is not to provide a "cool knife" or the next great "pry bar," but rather to offer a knife that's highly functional, made of only premium materials, that happens to looks great, too.
These are, in Spartan's words, Knives with intent.
All Spartan Blades are manufactured by Spartan in North Carolina, with only U.S.-origin materials. The sheaths are made by U.S. and U.S. veteran-owned businesses, using only the best U.S.-origin, Berry Amendment-compliant materials.
Curtis Iovito and Mark Carey, co-founders of Spartan Blades, have over 40 years of combined military service and experience. Since retiring from U.S. Army Special Forces, they've been involved in the development, marketing and program-management of tactical gear and ballistic-armor products. For years, Curtis designed and made custom knives for his friends in Special Forces and for other companies. Now Mark and Curtis combine to apply their love of knifemaking, their military experience and their knowledge of the tactical environment to Spartan Blades.
Both Mark and Curtis have spent a lifetime in the service of our country and working to advance its interests. Spartan Blades is committed to doing the same by manufacturing only in the U.S.A. with the highest quality, domestically produced materials. What's more, Spartan utilizes other veteran-owned small businesses in meeting its manufacturing mission.
Spartan Blades, LLC is located in Southern Pines, North Carolina, just west of Ft. Bragg, "Home of the U.S. Army Airborne and Special Forces."
