Zero Tolerance: ZT0452CF - Carbon Fiber - Framelock
The original Zero Tolerance 0454 was an award-winning collaboration between ZT and custom knife designer Dmitry Sinkevich. But it was also a very Limited Edition knife.
To make this amazing knife more readily available, ZT has created a new-for-2015 version based on the original’s streamlined form and high-performance function. The 0452CF is the same size as the original 0454, but with a carbon fiber front scale and S35VN dual-finished blade. S35VN sharpens to a razor edge, holds it, and can be resharpened easily. The 0452CF opens as smooth as butter with the KVT ball-bearing opening system and built-in flipper. A titanium frame lock with hardened steel lockbar insert ensures solid lock up.
As a final touch of class, the 0452CF features handsome 5-spoke pivot hardware. From office to outdoors, the 0452CF is ready to go wherever you're ready to take it.

If you are looking for an everyday carry folding knife with tons of blade length in a manageable sizez, you will love the Zero Tolerance 0452. It’s based on the original ZT 0454, an award-winning collaboration between ZT and custom designer Dmitry Sinkevich. This was a Limited Edition that quickly became almost impossible to find. To keep the design available, a newer version was created. This is the Zero Tolerance 0452 Dmitry Sinkevich Flipper. It carries on the streamlined good looks and high-performance function you are looking for. This will easily become one of your favorite EDC knives.
The ZT 0452 is extremely comfortable and settles into your grip right at the first finger groove. The blade of the 0452 is a Sinkevich-style drop point design with a long swedge and a satin finish. The S35VN steel is made by Crucible, specifically designed for knife making. This steel gives the ZT 0452 excellent edge retention, toughness, and is corrosion resistance. S35VN sharpens to a razor's edge and can be resharpened without any fuss.
The ZT 0452 has a flipper mechanism which makes it great for quick one-handed opening. It opens smoothly due to the KVT ball-bearing system that ZT is known for. A strong detent system is in place, which not only secures the blade when in the closed position, but adds the proper amount of resistance to let the blade flip open every time.
The ZT 0452 features distinctive 5-spoke pivot hardware, a titanium frame, and a carbon fiber front scale. The handle curves downward to fit naturally into your hand. It rides on a deep-carry pocketclip so that the frame is almost completely hidden when it’s stowed away in your pocket.
Zero Tolerance has made a high-end design attainable at a production price without cutting corners on their strict standards of quality. Like all ZT knives, the 0452 is made in the USA at their factory in Oregon and upholds the standards you have come to expect from the company.
The manufacturer does not allow this item to be sold internationally.

Great knife, ordered the product on Monday received it tuesday morning. The carbon fiber handle is exceptional, the contours on the front and back enhance the whole knife. the kit bearing action is smooth like greased lightning, extremely sharp right out of the box. I would have given it 5 Stars, but the Finnish was not what I have come to expect from at. The grind marks are not even. Otherwise a outstanding value for this great knife.Again, derick, wendy and Josh and Tyler have proven why KSF is tops in the business. Thank you from a very satisfied customer.
This knife stands up against the competition. I own many knives. Customs, mid-techs, high and low end production knives as well. I don't say this to boast, but to let you know that at least I think I know what I'm talking about. :) I can count on my fingers the amount of knives that I have where there's not at least one thing about them that disappoints me. This knife is among the cream of the crop. I have a few Kershaw knives and I find them to be a good value. I have to say though that until recently, nothing in the ZT line really grabbed me. A friend bought a 0560 a few months ago and I liked it, but not enough to pull the trigger on one for myself. Now, things are a bit different! I bought the 0620CF ZT/Emerson and was impressed! The first time I saw the original 0454 I almost fell out of my chair! What a knife! I have been waiting patiently for a production version...and it's finally available. The construction/fit & finish is excellent. 10/10 Lock up-40% ish. In my humble opinion 10/10 Blade centering-perfect. 10/10 Blade grind/finish. 10/10 Size & weight. Again, my opinion 10/10 Other thoughts: The clip is a great size. Not too big like so many are. The custom pivot looks awesome, and doesn't require a custom wrench. I love it! So much so that I'm about to order the 0450
I ordered mine from KSF on the first release. I wasn't sure how much I would like it because it is a larger knife. As soon as I pulled it from the box it was my new favorite. I had been carrying a 0560BW. The 0560 had been my go to knife and it seemed no matter what I bought, I had a tendancy to go back to it. The 0452cf was a game changer, it replaced the 0560. I have zero regrets and no buyers remorse from picking one of these up. If its in stock and you are on the fence about it, take a chance because I am sure you will love it!
