L.T. Wright Knives: Gary Wines Bush Hunter - O-1 Steel - Scandi Grind - Green Micarta - Matte
The Gary Wines Bushcraft knife will be a great companion on your next outing. With its Scandi grind, it's plenty sharp for all of your bushcrafting needs. These are ground to zero then we put a hard buff on the very edge to help with edge rolling and durability. Another great feature is the sharpened spine. Any time you can save the blade and use the spine for chores is a plus. We sharpen it up like an ice skate, this will allow you to strike a fire steel or scrape down a branch to make a tinder bundle with ease. And as you're scraping, you'll no doubt have a good grip on the knife with the bead blasted Micarta scales.
These are attached to the O1 tool steel not only with a mechanical attachment but, we use a marine grade epoxy to ensure no moisture gets behind the scales. The Gary Wines knives also come with a very durable handmade leather sheath. The JRE Industries sheath uses 8oz. vegetable tanned leather, a double stitch line, and three eyelets. He also incorporates a fire steel loop in the design for us, which will hold your 3/8 inch fire steel. The eyelets allow you to attach extra gear as well. A sealed pill vial works great as a tinder stash and will clip onto the sheath easily.
