Hess Knifeworks: Outdoorsman - Brown Micarta

This knife is absolutely terrific, it came razor sharp out of the box, and retained that edge through considerable abuse. The handle is very comfortable and the guard is not very intrusive for fine cutting tasks; plus the high polished tang is a really nice touch. The sheath is very well made and holds the knife securely in place. I contacted Hess Knifeworks to get a left handed version, and they had me to ship the righty to them, where they swapped it for the lefty out at no cost. Finally, the price on this knife is just right, if not a bit low considering how well it is made.
