The Composite Lite Auto is Benchmade's first automatic to be built with G-10 scales, and this combo has been a popular seller for them ever since its release. The comfortable size of the handle and all-purpose drop point blade make this a versatile choice for everyday carry. The textured surface of the scales provides extra grip, and the enlarged push-button makes it easy to deploy the blade. The knife rides on a reversible deep-carry pocket clip.

    Mighty & Light

The BM CLA 4300-1 is one of the best Autos I've carried and owned. Aluminum handles are nice but have there negatives. The textured G-10 on the CLA is a joy to carry and handle. The 4300-1 is a true light weight but has strengthening stainless steel liners. The 4300-1 has the best safety offered on a BM Auto. Gone are small slide safety on the spine. BM made a smart decision by placing a robust safety on the side of the handle below the actuation button. The safety is reminiscent of a Gerber 06 Auto. The only concern of the CLA 4300 lineup is the pocket clip. BM for whatever reason decided to use a cheap painted pocket clip instead of one of their black oxide clips.
