American Knife Company™ - Forest

The "Forest" is American Knife Company's vision of the perfect belt knife, as described by Mors Kochanski in his comprehensive and definitive book, Bushcraft.

The Forest has all of the features Mors wished for, as well as bulletproof construction. The blade is A-2 tool steel, triple-tempered with the tang drawn softer for extra toughness. Its "convex Scandi" grind gives maximum edge-holding. The scales' Corby bolts are hand-blended and the pommel is stainless steel.

American Knife Company gave the Forest a unique leather sheath. It's ambidextrous, able to accommodate either vertical or horizontal belt carry, and it features hollow rivets that allow you to lash it to your gear. It also has an integral firesteel loop and a pair of rare-earth magnets to retain the knife -- even inverted. No matter how rugged the terrain, this sheath will retain the Forest.

(Here's a tip: You can use the sheath's permanently recessed magnets to create a makeshift compass, or to recover small ferrous items outside your reach.)

This is one solid bushcraft knife, 100% made in the U.S.A., and it might just become your favorite outdoors companion.
