A new to me knife from a new to me maker in A2 steel.

First impressions upon receiving this knife today is good. The fit and finish is excellent except for one tiny flaw in the bone scales, which is probably why this is a closeout, no return category. I like the edge, which is finely honed without any deviations from the laser straight line. I'm used to the average to above average pocket folders having a little irregularities in the edge, requiring only a few seconds of honing to correct, no matter the type of steel. It's to be expected for that price range and has never affected to performance of those knives. It is pleasing to find that this knife and an edge that was straight, with no roughness whatsoever. Mine has the (burnt) orange camel bone and the dye used didn't take consistently along the entire exterior but I like the feel of bone handles (scales) and not an issue for me at all. This will be my first experience with using a Scandi grind but I'm a big fan of the rounded or cantled edge. I'm not a fan of A2 steel as some makers don't heat treat it correctly or hold it out as something it's not but I'll see if it defies those reviews. I would have wanted S30V or CPM 154 but that a personal preference. This knife is a bit back heavy, which I suspect is partially because of the dense camel bone and I would like the handle to be a little bit longer, maybe 5 millimeters or so.
