Outstanding Knife
If you read my review of the True Saber Shawnee you will see that it was the sharpest knife I have ever purchased. Everything about that knife was outstanding for me. I wanted to see how the Delaware stood up to that standard. Out of the box, the Delaware was not as sharp. Close, but not as sharp. It took moderate work on the stones to bring up the edge I wanted, but the overall geometry of the Delaware blade was just as outstanding as the Shawnee. The Delaware is a bigger knife; longer/higher blade, thicker blade, and beefier handle, although the handle length is the same on my examples. Other than that, they are the same knife in design and configuration. They are also equal in quality. Top notch, and an outstanding value. The leather sheath of the Delaware is thicker than the Shawnee, and there is a neodymium magnet embedded in the leather to help retain the blade, an unexpected but nice touch.
