The Sharpmaker takes the guess work out of sharpening, helping any user to achieve consistent results. The ABS base is slotted to provide a 30° (15° per side) or 40° (20° per side) angle when sharpening knives. A third angle is provided for sharpening scissors, set at 12.5° from the horizon. For serrated blades, the rounded corner of the stones can be used to sharpen inside each serration.
This kit includes two pairs of high-quality ceramic stones (medium and fine grit) so edges can be repaired and refined as needed. Aluminum safety rods snap into the base to protect your hands during use, and the whole kit can be conveniently stored in the base with the provided lid. An instructional DVD and book are also included to help you get started.
