This pattern is known by many names, "Texas Toothpick," "Tickler," "Chaser," "Arkansas Toothpick," "Switch Knife," and others. It is a classic American pocket knife pattern devolped in the late 1800's and had been popular and collectible ever since.
It was originally based on the European clasp knive or navaja. The pattern is a slender serpentine jack with a pointed non-blade end.
