Karesuando Small Hatchet (Add't commentary)
Correction; to my review above ^^^- the KSF images DO show the full fleshed reindeer hide, in the Box. I don't recall seeing it when I ordered the Axe- but there it is now. All's well- you won't regret ordering this small precision Axe, while they are still in Stock.

Karesuando Hunters Hatchet
Like the other reviewer said- is it a tool or metal Art? The Small Axe world is kind of an esoteric place. Yes, you can use them for kitchen chores, for small wood chop jobs and other precise applications. The KSFaxe description doesn't tell you that this fine little Axe comes to you, nestled in a full fleshed rectangle, of actual Reindeer hide, with the gorgeous thick hair intact. Who does that, when they send you an Axe? The Karesuando guys up by the Arctic Circle in N. Sweden. It's a stainless, hi polished jewel. I'm just surprised there are still 2 of them left on the Site. I will treat the curly birch handle with hi grade linseed oil, since it seems to be a bit dry.

karesuando hatchet
Fine art, or fine tool? Both! Had it for some months now and still haven't used it on anything tougher than produce. It's so beautiful as well as good at slicing and dicing. It will see wood, sometime.
