Great Eastern Cutlery: #99 - Northfield Un-X-LD - Wall Street - Burnt Stag - Clip Point - B

I now have 2 of these, both clip points, 1 in ebony, and "O Rapture! O Bliss!" the one that just came today in Burnt Stag. I bought a second because I so love the first. This is a MARVELLOUS knife. First, typical top of the line GEC quality, re: fit and finish or better - because neither of my lockbacks have blade play, something common to many lockbacks, even occasionally GEC. Second - Superb design. Aesthetically just beautiful, and it exudes class - even moreso in the Northfied burnt stag & bling. Could easily be a Sunday-go-to-meeting knife, an office knife, or just a really lovely everyday work tool. Will not threaten anyone, but may elicit some oohs and aahs. And that leads to the third point, which is what sets this knife among my very favorite GEC's (and so among my favorite knives). It's functionality is superb. This is a HIGHLY useful tool. in hand, extremely compact, bigger than everyone's beloved GEC 15, but not too big, and not too small. Gives a very comfortable 4 finger grip (I have large hands), and packs a LOT of blade into the handle. Exceptionally useful, and for me perfect. If you're looking for a compact but very useful knife and on the fence on buying this one, my advice is get it. I own 300+ folding knives, and this one stands among the best and most beautiful. My highest recommendation.
