Knife Photography

Knives are notoriously difficult to photograph.  The more refined the knife, the more difficult it is to shoot.

ESEE Knives are not difficult at all because they have no shiny spots.  The coating on the blade covers everything, so there is nothing particularly special about photographing them.  You can just focus (ha ha) on your composition.

From there, it gets more and more difficult because the more highly polished the blade is, the more difficult it is to get a good picture of the blade.

I tell people to think about knife photography as taking a picture of whatever is reflecting on the blade.  So if you have a mirror polished blade, you have to have it reflect a smooth white surface.

It takes a lot of patience to get really good pictures.  It takes more to get good pictures of knives.

We get a lot of requests for pictures.  We decided to put some of our best up for people to use as wallpaper on their computers.  The site to see these is www.KnifeWallpaper.com.  Feel free to use our images for private use.

Enjoy.
