Benchmade Knives: 15007-2 HUNT - Saddle Mountain Hunter - Stabilized Wood

The same great handle design as the skinner but with a more traditional hunting blade style, good for de-boning and general game cleaning. Made in USA.

    great knives!

Well, I think I'm the only one to put reviews on the hunt series so far and I'll continue to give the best info I have on these products. First off, the leather sheath for this knife is the exact same sheath for the other knives in this series with the same lenght. They went with a generic one size fits all, but I believe that this was the knife it was made for. It's a perfect fit. I also tried the sheathe from the model that has a gut hook and it also fit perfectly! I'm actually impressed with a Benchmade sheath! The blade is nice and sharp and the jumping is clean. The handle like the others is really ergonomic. I could see myself using this knife for hours without wearing my hand out. In fact, these knives will get a full workout this hunting season. This knife especially will get much use as I will be lending it to a friend that records goose hunts in Kansas and we will see how many ducks, goose, and other animals it will be used on before it needs to be sharpened. I'll post again when that day comes. I will add that I believe the Kydex sheathes are more the way to go when looking at video reviews, but I just didn't want gray handles. I may pick up kydex sheaths for these knives if they become loose. I feel very satisfied with the quality of these knives.
