Zero Tolerance: ZT0562CF - Rick Hinderer Slicer - Carbon Fiber
The cousin of the 0562, this ZT features the same special Rick Hinderer flat-ground “slicer” grind that provides both slicing efficiency and a tough point, but on a Carpenter CTS-204P powdered steel blade.
CTS-204P offers a premium combination of features: the ability to take a very sharp edge, wear resistance for superior edge retention, toughness, and polish-ability. When creating this alloy, one of the uses Carpenter specifically had in mind was making custom knives.
The 0562CF’s handle has a carbon fiber front scale and stonewashed titanium back. For secure lock up during use, ZT uses a frame lock with hardened steel lockbar inserts and lockbar stabilization.
The knife opens with a flipper and moves out of the handle on our smooth KVT ball-bearing opening system. A washer with caged ball bearings surrounds the pivot and makes opening the knife nearly frictionless; just pull back on the flipper and add a roll of the wrist and the 0562CF is ready for action.
The unique pocketclip is reversible (left/right) and enables extra-deep carry in the pocket.

The 0562 from Zero Tolerance and Rick Hinderer is a match made in heaven – well, actually at their factory in Oregon, USA. The sturdy blade and sure grip that you get on this model make it a favorite hard-use blade for knife enthusiasts across the globe.
The blade of the ZT 0562 is one tough drop point, and the Hinderer exclusive “slicer” grind gives it great cutting efficiency and durability. The stonewashed steel finish goes along with the durable nature of the 0562, helping to hide wear and scratches as you use the knife.
Due to the smooth actions of the KVT ball-bearing opening system, the knife moves out of the handle with precision. Once deployed, the flipper tab doubles as a built-in guard at the front of your grip. In the open position, the blade is locked in place by a titanium frame lock with a steel lockbar insert. The lock side of the handle also has a stabilizer in place so that the frame cannot be overextended when you disengage the lock.
At the end of the handle is mounted a deep-carry pocketclip that can be switched to right or left side carry depending on your preference. The clip’s low profile and deep carry position helps make this sizable knife much more pocket-friendly and helps to conceal nearly the entire body of the knife until it’s time to use it.
The handle ratio on this knife is very generous, comfortable for even the largest hand sizes. The shallow finger grooves in the front of the grip help to add extra security and comfort during use. The spine of the handle slopes downward so that the whole thing is nestled naturally in your hand, and your thumb can rest securely on the jimping grooves found on the spine of the blade.
Made in the USA, the ZT 0562 is just one of many excellent knives in the Zero Tolerance brand. Rick Hinderer continues to design and manufacture durable blades that are up to the task of being an everyday carry knife. Just as their box states, these are “proudly overbuilt” and will serve you well.
