When you need a handy pocketknife that won't raise any undue attention, pick up the Spyderco Urban. It's a non-locking slipjoint construction, so it opens manually and is legal to carry in many locations. The N690Co stainless steel blade has a full-flat grind for excellent cutting geometry, and the large thumb hole makes it easy to open with either hand. The backspring provides a nice "snap" when opening and closing the blade, and there is a built-in half-stop position for added safety. All this is housed in a handle made from fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) that is both strong and lightweight, and the scales are bolted directly into the stainless steel backspacer which creates a rock-solid construction. The knife rides on a reversible (left or right) deep-carry wire clip.
