The Native 5 Lightweight is the culmination of Spyderco's continued improvements on a long-standing member of their lineup. The blade has a full-flat grind to create an ideal cutting edge with low blade drag, and the large thumb hole offers easy ambidextrous operation. The blade joined to the handle to form an index-finger choil to create a secure grip at the front of the handle for enhanced blade control. The blade locks open using a precision machined mid-back lock that provides plenty of strength and rigidity. This is housed in handle scales made from fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle scales for an ideal combination of durability and weight savings. The handle allows for four pocketclip configurations - tip up or down, left or right side.

I have a knife collection of over 125 knives and this is one of my FAVORITES. I have two - one serrated and one plain and love the ergos on this knife.
