Arno Bernard is one of South Africa's finest knife makers.
Arno has been making custom knives for over 35 years. He made his first knife out of a saw blade in 1979 and has steadily improved his craft until he is a master bladesmith. He and his sons have built a great knife company making beautiful knives.
Arno Bernard knives are made from Bohler N690 stainless steel. They are custom heat treated, hollow ground and hand polished to to make a tool you will be proud to carry.
Living in South Africa, Arno Bernard is able to use some really exotic handle materials. He uses Giraffe Bone (that he collects himself), Warthog Ivory Tusk, and something I had never seen before, Saltwater Crocodile Hide. He also uses some of the most beautiful Mammoth Tooth I have ever seen.
