Northwoods Knives: 3.25" Small Stockman Pocket Knife - Stag #8

The Stockman pattern originated in the Western US just before the turn of the 20th century.  It was a more elegant, Sunday-go-to-meeting version of the Cattleman's Knife.

It is also known as the Premium Stock knife, the pattern  typically has 3 blades with the master being a clip point.  As a stock knife, the second blade is generally a spey and the remaining blade one of several different styles--pen, sheepfoot or harness punch.

The Stockman became the most popular pattern among pocket knife manufacturers.  Most modern versions of the knife have plastic handles.  That is not what you have here.
