Sharpshooter Drop Loop--Black [ssdrop]  $19.95
Sharpshooter Drop Loop--Black

The DropLoop is a unique way of lowering a sheath on your belt while maintaining a very secure mounting. You can use the DropLoop on just about any sheath that has a belt loop. You can click on any of these images for a larger version.

Here's the sheath as it normally rides on the belt, a good portion of the handle is above the top of the belt. Many people like this mode of carry as the knife is secure and out of the way but the handle can poke some people in the ribs, dig into their side or be difficult to reach, depending on their build and body shape.

The DropLoop is intended to give you an almost infinite number of different heights to carry the knife so it perfectly suits you.

Here's how it works:

Notice there are three pairs of holes spaced one inch apart. These are coarse height adjustments, we provide two eyelets to serve as washers and prevent the screws from working their way through the leather. Changing hole pairs is simply a matter of removing the Chicago Screws and relocating the eyelets before reassembly.

Installing the DropLoop is simply a matter of removing ONE of the screws and loosening the other...

This will free the Kydex bar allowing you to feed it through the sheath strap...

Rotate the DropLoop to line up the appropriate hole with the Chicago Screw base and start the screw... DON'T TIGHTEN THE SCREWS...

You can now make the fine adjustments to height of the sheath by sliding the DropLoop up or down on the sheath loop before locking it in place by tightening the screws. Remember that sliding the DropLoop higher on the sheath makes the knife sit lower on your belt.

The sheath attached to the drop loop now sits much lower, the top of the handle is even with the top of the belt. This is on the middle pair of holes with a bit more room on the sheath strap to slide down on. There is at least one inch more adjustment to lower the sheath.

The DropLoop can be moved from sheath to sheath but buying a couple and setting up each sheath will provide you with custom tuned sheaths for your favorite knives.
