Bark River Highland Special

The Highland Special has been a Cornerstone of the Bark River Knives Line since 2002.

This New 2012 Version of the Knife has bee Updated in a Couple of Ways. Bark River added the Lanyard Loop of the Fox River to the Rear of the Tang. The Steel has been Upgraded from their Standard A-2 to the New Crucible Steel CPM D-2.

CPM D-2 has a much Finer Grain Structure than standard D-2 and has the toughness of the A-2 but enhanced Edge Holding Properties. The CPM D-2 is Easy to re-sharpen and will take a Razor Edge. The CPM D-2 is also more Stain Resistant than the Standard A-2 because of it's Added amount of Chromium. The Handles are now Attached with Corby Bolts instead of Pins to insure that there will be no Handle Scale Separation. You will find this Enhanced Version to be a Joy to use.
