This Knife was requested by a number of Bark River Knife customers who wanted a larger boot knife. This one is the 2007 Special Christmas Edition.This knife is a scaled up version of the original Blackwater BRKT did when they first introduced the knife. It was Hollow Ground so this one is too.This one is a little Different because it is what they call--Large Diameter Shallow Hollow Ground.
The Result is a Very Very Heavy Edge Spine. heavier than our normal Convex Grind. As most of you know the normal Hollow Ground Blade lacks the Edge Spine to support Carbides well. This one Does not. It is heavy on the edge. You will find these Deceptively Sharp.There is nothing Delicate about these Boot Knives.
