The Journeyman is a very Compact Knife that is made for General Utility Work. It is a lot of knife in a Small Package. The Blade is a Very Traditional One. It is not usually used on a Fixed Blade Knife. This Blade was very common on Large Folders--Both Slip Joint and Clasp Knives. The Pattern has it's roots in the Early Sheffield Days--Literally from the 1500's. Early "Barlow's" and "English Jacks" made use of this blade for all Purpose use.
The False Grind (Swedge) is very English but also used on the later Remington Patters of the same Style. The Spine is still Plenty Beefy but thins the point for Fine work. You will find this knife to be easy to carry and work as well for Bushcraft and Hunting Chores. The Blade Style was considered one of the most useful by It's early Designers. Here are the Specs:Overall Length:8.8 InchesBlade Length:3.775 InchesBlade Steel:52-100 CarbonHardness:58rcBlade Thickness:.150 InchWeight:3.775 Ounces
