Bark River was asked by the Force Recon Folks to develop a group of knives that are NOT General Purpose uses.

This is the First and Smaller Version that they sent to the Marines.

These knives are for Close Quarter use.

This version is meant to be concealable but large enough to be effective in self defense.

This meant a good size blade and a very Compact handle --they want it sharp on both edges.

Mike Stewart incorporated Small Lug Style Quillions instead of an attached guard.

the Blades are Convex Ground to both the main Edge and the False Edge.

As I said above the False Edge is Sharp.
